Hey, I’m Karen Hemmes — Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, GLP-1 health coach, and yes, also a DJ.
I built Nutrition Remix because the wellness world wasn’t built for people like us. After 7+ years working in nutrition and 18+ years living the DJ lifestyle, I noticed something: the busiest, most hard-working, most fun-loving people were also the most underserved when it came to real, practical nutrition support. So I decided to change that.

Professional Credentials
I graduated top of my class from Arizona State University’s Nutrition program and earned my RDN credential through rigorous education, a supervised practice internship, and passing the national registration examination. With over 6 years of hands-on experience working with diverse clients, I’ve developed specialized expertise in nutrition for high-stress, irregular-schedule lifestyles. My dual identity as both a performing DJ and credentialed dietitian means I don’t just understand the science of nutrition, I live the reality of implementing it in a demanding, unconventional career.
